National Museum of Art Riga
The Latvian National Art Museum (Latvijas Nacionālais mākslas muzejs) in Riga is located in a building from 1905 on Park Esplanāde east of the historical centre. The new building with exhibition and storage rooms was constructed below the park to store the 52,000 works of Latvian, Baltic and Russian art. The exhibition area was designed with a view of the painting storage system through large windows. Kern Studer AG delivered the painting storage system for the warehouse in the basement. We used the robust and durable steel rails of the ceiling-mounted M-40 system, which have proven to be highly effective.
