Art History Museum Vienna
In 2009, the Art History Museum of Vienna (KHM) decided to build a new central storage facility in Himberg near Vienna to house the entire collection. The storage system is intended to cover the KHM's storage needs for the next 30 years. Kern Studer AG supplied the painting storage system for the storage facility on the ground floor. In order to meet the high quality requirements, we used our high-quality linear guide system in this case. We installed the steel shafts with a diameter of 40 mm to carry the 2000 kg loads for the large 5000 x 8000 mm pull-out racks.
